RECAP OF FRIDAY NIGHT'S GAME

The Morrilton High School football team scored touchdowns on each of its first seven possessions, cruising to an easy 51-13 victory over J.A. Fair on Friday night in Little Rock. Working to establish a passing game early, quarterbacks Dylan White and Jacolby Criswell combined to go 17-for-24 for 212 yards and five touchdowns. Four different Devil Dogs were on the receiving end of those touchdown passes. Senior Tory Criswell hauled in two with juniors Mason Adams and Terry Franklin and sophomore Lamar Wofford each catching one. The first score of the game came on a 14-yard pass from White to Tory Criswell that earned the Dixon Family Dental Big Smile Play of the Game. Junior Brett Jones was Morrilton's leading rusher with 55 yards and two touchdowns on ten carries. His effort earned him Colton's Offensive Player of the Game honors. Andrew Lentz took Defensive Player of the Game honors with seven tackles and two sacks. The Devil Dogs are now 2-0 on the season as they prepare for a tough matchup at Searcy this week. The Lions are two-and-oh after pounding Batesville, 47-9, on Friday.
